Be part of this world-wide collective celebration and service in action.
The Global Mala Project is uniting yoga, service and collective action. The purpose of the project is to bring the global yoga community together from every continent, school and approach to form a "mala around the earth" through collective practices based upon the sacred cycle of 108 (108 Surya Namaskar, Mantra, Kriya, Meditation).
Founded by Shiva Rea in 2007 and now in partnership with Yoga Month and Yoga for Peace, the Global Mala Yoga for Peace is a seed of a world-wide experiment into the power of meditation in action. The intention is to join thousands of planetary rituals that are raising consciousness on Fall Equinox and UN International Peace Day.
The spirit of Global Mala is not to create yet another event, with more administration and extra work, but to inspire and turn to the source of yoga to educate, inspire and bring people together to act on the most critical issues facing individuals, the collective community and the world - all of creation.
Action doesn't have to be a struggle. Ready to take the next step? You can become a contributor to our cause, or participate yourself.
